Brie& Fig Baguettes Recipe

Prep Time: 15 minutes (plus 20 minutes for honey infusion)

Cook Time: 7 minutes

Total Time: Approximately 42 minutes

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

• 4 mini baguettes or 1 large baguette cut into 4 portions
• 8 ounces of Brie cheese, sliced
• 8 fresh figs, sliced
• 4 tablespoons honey
• 1 teaspoon dried culinary lavender
• Fresh arugula or mixed greens (optional)

Instructions:

1. Lavender-Infused Honey Preparation:

> In a small saucepan, combine the honey and dried lavender.

> Gently heat over low heat for about 10 minutes. Do not let it boil to preserve the honey's natural flavors.

> Remove from heat and let it steep for an additional 20 minutes.

> Strain the lavender from the honey and set the honey aside.

2. Baguette Preparation:

> Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

> Slice the mini baguettes lengthwise, but not all the way through, so they hinge open.

> Layer slices of Brie cheese inside each baguette.

> Place the baguettes on a baking sheet and warm in the oven just until the Brie begins to melt, about 5-7 minutes.

3. Assembling the Baguettes:

> Carefully open the warm baguettes and lay the fresh fig slices over the melted Brie.

> Drizzle each baguette generously with the lavender-infused honey.

> If desired, add a small handful of arugula or mixed greens for a peppery contrast to the sweetness.

Enjoy this delightful combination of creamy Brie, sweet figs,
and aromatic lavender-infused honey, all encased in a warm, crusty baguette - capturing the essence of a leisurely French picnic. Bon appétit!
