AVOCADO & MANGO TARTARE

A refreshing blend of ripe avocado and mango, seasoned with lime, cilantro, and a hint of chili, served on a crisp endive leaf.

Avocado and Mango Tartare Recipe

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados, diced
  • 1 ripe mango, diced
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 small red chili, deseeded and finely chopped (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 large endive leaves, for serving
  • Optional: Toasted sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Avocado and Mango

> In a medium bowl, gently toss the diced avocado and mango with the lime juice to prevent browning and to add flavor.

2. Add Herbs and Seasoning

> Add the chopped cilantro and red chili to the avocado and mango mixture. Stir gently to combine without mashing the avocado.

> Season with salt and pepper to taste.

3. Serve

> When ready to serve, spoon the tartare mixture into the center of each endive leaf, creating a boat-like appearance.
